God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you
And he whispered "Come with Me"
With tearful eyes I watched you.
I watched you fade away
Although I loved you dearly,
I could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
God broke my heart to prove to me,
He chose to take the very best.
It is with great sadness that the family of Willy Hofstede announce her passing on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the age of 88. She will be lovingly missed and forever remembered by her daughter Lisa (Gary) Jacobson and son John; daughters-in-law Trudy and Monica; 12 grandchildren and their spouses; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Truus VanHaarten; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Willy�s passing will unite her again with her loving husband, Dirk, son Fred, daughter Diane, granddaughters Caroline and Ellen and brother, Kees Renshof.
The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the Sherwood Park Presbyterian Church, 265 Fir Street, Sherwood Park.
