Obituary

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Donald Charles Lindsay on September 20, 2018.

Don was born on September 26, 1939 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 51 years, Sharon and survived by his children Claire (Mark) and Warren (Cheryl). He was a proud grandfather to Steven and loving brother to Marianne, Marg (Pat) and Bob (Nettie). He is survived and warmly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Don had a long and enjoyable career in the insurance industry working in Vancouver, Winnipeg and Edmonton. He made many friends and memories while on his regular road trips around Alberta. Don participated in countless golf tournaments and claimed he was always a foot away from winning the longest drive.

Don was a sports fan extraordinaire, loyally cheering his Oilers and Eskimos through good times and bad but by far his favourite sports were any ones his children played. He was a coach, spectator and most importantly their biggest fan. Don was a friendly and kind-hearted man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life for Don will take place at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Lung Association of Alberta or Royal Alex Hospital would be appreciated.

In Loving Memory of
Don Lindsay
