Kieran Ronald Otteson
Our beautiful son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin died suddenly on March 8, 2019. Kieran was kind and sensitive to those around him and quick to offer a smile. Kieran came from a loving Christian home, had a wonderful, full life and was studying at The King's University. We loved Kieran with all of our hearts and he loved us in return. Kieran succumbed to a sudden and overwhelming bout of depression. It was his concealment of this and his inability to reach out for help that led to his death.
Kieran 's memory will be cherished by his parents, Monique and David; his grandparents, Neil and Ina De Bree, Ron and Donna Otteson; his brother Seth; his uncles John (Joanne), Eric (Lorraine), Jeff (Brenda), Scott (Stacy); and his cousins, Alida, Aaron, Carissa, Jeff, Joey, Bailey, Kelsey, Danita, Connor, Philip, Ryan, Liam and Grayce. He was predeceased by his Auntie Wilma.
We hope that by sharing the cause of Kieran's death we might encourage others to seek help and unmask this silent killer. Those who desire may make memorial donations in memory of Kieran to the Counselling Program for Students at The King's University College:

A Celebration of Life in memory of Kieran will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Sherwood Park Alliance Church (1011 Clover Bar Rd, Sherwood Park) with Pastor Tom Baird officiating.
