Obituary
Our hearts are broken. Our beautiful, beloved Wonder Woman, Yo, passed through on May 21, 2019. Daughter, mother, sister, wife, aunt, cousin, niece, granddaughter, and soulmate, Yolanda was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside throughout her life. She always kept it real and the love and sincerity of her soul shone through to everyone who was lucky enough to meet her and be a part of her life. She loved her family and friends, meeting new people, anyone�s babies and children, her pets, and had a special fondness for chickens.
Yolanda leaves behind her mother, Bonnie Bishop; sister, Jeani (Trinity) Bishop; father, Kirk (Elaine) Simpson; brother, Nathan (Stephanie & Donovan) Simpson; husband, Dave Petterson; her beautiful children, Zak (Kendra Neumann) Bishop, Hayleigh (Jason Ng) Bishop-Sweeney, Mackenzie Sweeney, and Ziah Petterson; soulmate, Lisa (Hartford) Mercredi; her extended family of the Pettersons, the Bishops, the Fraser clan, and a large circle of lifelong friends.

Deep gratitude to neighbours, friends, Dr. Basappa, Dr. Follett, the nurses, and helpers at the Cross Cancer Institute who showed great loving care and kindness to Yolanda throughout the long difficult journey.
A private burial will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be announced later.
