Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Foster on August 27, 2021 at the age of 92.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Foster (nee Nicol); daughter Lynn (Gerard); numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Jack; his parents Roberta and Alice; seven siblings.
Jack was born in Lamont, Alberta. He proudly served in the Edmonton Fire Department from 1955 to 1989, retiring as a Captain in Communications. He was a man with a good heart who shared his skills as a handyman with friends and neighbours. He loved fishing and canoeing and was also a volunteer driver for the Cancer Society. He was especially loved and appreciated by neighbours for clearing their sidewalks in winter. He will be sadly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Firefighters Burn Unit.
