Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved Ethel, on June 18, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Roy; children, Robert (Antonella), Margaret (Roger) and Phyllis; grandchildren, David (Cynthia), Jason, and Miranda; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jackie, Robert, George, Jim and sister, Olive.

Ethel was born in Edmonton and was a member of the Highlands United Church where she was married in 1951. In 1993 she began attending the Dayspring Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed Bible Study.

Ethel was an avid reader and had an interest in political issues, current events and literature. She stood up for her values, supported great causes and believed in the inclusion of all people. She will be deeply missed.

The interment will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:30 am, at Beechmount Cemetery, 12420-104 St., Edmonton, with a Memorial Service to follow at Dayspring Presbyterian Church, 11445-40 Ave., and Edmonton at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Stephen Lewis Foundation, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or M.S. Society.
