Obituary

Marvin passed away peacefully on August 26, 2012 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital at the age of 88 years.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie Miller; daughters, Barbara Madani, Gwen Randall-Young and Shelley Miller; and son, David Miller. Marvin was also blessed with six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Marvin was born and raised in Toronto, ON. He joined the RCAF during WWII in Halifax, NS and there he met his future wife, Natalie, who was also in the RCAF. Once their time with the military was completed, Marvin and Natalie moved to Edmonton; Marvin had a brief athletic career in baseball followed by a lifelong career at Edmonton Motors. He was an avid sports enthusiast who excelled at anything involving a ball or a rock and was admired for his coaching in the community. Marvin also enjoyed debating the aspects of sport with his son and sons-in-law.

In retirement, Marvin demonstrated his devotion to his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grand children. He loved the art of conversation and getting to know people - he was an eloquent speaker and possessed a witty sense of humor. Marvin will also be remembered for his leadership, uncompromising principles and ethics. His larger-than-life personality will be greatly missed.

By request, there will be no memorial service.

The family would appreciate remembrances to be made in Marvin's name to the Edmonton Little League Baseball, 7436 Singer Landing NW, Edmonton, AB, T6R 3S1.

In Loving Memory of
Marvin Miller
