Obituary

After a long and courageous war with depression, Nick died suddenly on September 6, 2012.

He was born in Andijk, the Netherlands in 1945, came to Lacombe with his family, and attended Olds Agricultural College. He worked for the City of Edmonton Parks Department, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. He was a kind and thoughtful man.

Nick leaves to mourn his mother, Winnie Krikke of Red Deer; brothers, Bert (Lillian) of Edmonton, Henk of Ponoko, Eldon (Margaret) of Barrhead; sisters, Margaret Krikke Webber (Charles) of Kamloops, BC, Annette Forand (Paul) of Red Deer, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and many friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Martin Krikke of Red Deer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Foster & McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 St, Edmonton.

In memory of Nick, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.
