Obituary
On September 6, 2012, Lena Beard passed away peacefully in Edmonton at the age of 85 years.
Lena is survived by her loving daughter Catherine and son-in-law, Enzo Barichello; beloved grandson Scott; and sister Alice Wenlock of Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Beard and her brother Duncan MacDonald of Michigan.
Lena was born in Glasgow, Scotland on December 29, 1926 and moved to Montreal with her parents, Charles and Isabelle MacDonald as a young child. She worked for Uniroyal and Manchester Liners in Montreal for over 30 years, until her retirement in 1983. Lena was full of the love of life and the love of her family, but was also an intensely private person. She will be greatly missed by her family and all of those whose lives she touched.
In keeping with Lena's wishes, private services were held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Robertson-Wesley United Church, Edmonton Alberta.
