Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce that Adriaan passed away on June 22, 2013; however, we rejoice that he has gone home to be with his Lord.
Adriaan was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on September 17th, 1927.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 1/2 years, Tiny (Gezina); children, Mieke (Bill) Spaans of Sturgeon County, Tineke (Len) Lillo of Entwistle, Jack (Jan) op der Heijde of Yellowknife and Frans op der Heijde of Victoria;13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Tilly (Izaak) Stolk of Winnipeg; and two sisters-in-law in the Netherlands.
Adriaan was predeceased by two brothers and two great grandchildren.
Interment will be held at the St. Albert Cemetery (Poundmaker Road) at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27th to be followed by a Memorial Service at Christ Community Church, St. Albert, at 2:00 p.m. (east on Bellerose Drive to city limits and then north on Coal Mine Road) with Rev. David Wulkan officiating.
