Obituary
We wish to announce the death of Mary Dowling at the spry age of 97.2+ years.
The memory of Mary will be cherished by her daughter, Gay (Ralph) Young; grandchildren, Ross (Alison) and Marnie; nine great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Joshua, Mackenzie, Jordan, Ryan, John, Sarah and Nick; brother, Jim (Marian) Heaton and many dear friends and relatives. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Joe Dowling in 1979.
Mary will additionally be missed by her sisters in P.E.O. (member for 74 years) and her good friends at Lakeview Gardens.
At 97 years, Mary had a long and healthy life. She had adjusted through the many changes in our fast paced world for nearly a century and even pioneered a move to Canada from California at the age of 81.
All who knew her will miss her presence, and what a presence it was! If there was one word to describe Mary it was �AMAZING. She acknowledged everyone she met in her own unique way with dignity and vitality.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 � 114 Street, Edmonton, on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. There will be an announced reception. Colourful attire is welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to the charity of your choice.
