Obituary
George Philippides passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 70.
George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Christina; daughters, Joanna (Tony) Padovan and Rena (Dean) Kallas; grandchildren, Sophia and Nikos; one brother, Vasilis (Stamatia); as well as numerous family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nikolaos and Ioanna.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the University of Alberta Hospital for their care and compassion.
A Trisagion Service will take place on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. George�s Greek Orthodox Church, 10831 � 124 Street, Edmonton. A Funeral Service will be held at the same location on Tuesday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Kaoukakis officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, 10132 � 163 Street, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George may be made to the Stollery Children�s Hospital Foundation, 1502 College Plaza, 8215 � 112 Street, Edmonton, AB, T6G 2C8.
