Michael Brown

Such a shock to hear about your loss. MB was an amazing guy with tons of energy, ideas and enthusiasm! I only knew him in the last few years but always looked forward to our work together.

I am so so sorry to hear of Michael?s death. Although I haven?t seen you all in many years the memories I do have are strong. Side by side at Ultraman, we are all family. When I reached out for support with a donation for my friend many years ago he didn?t hesitate and gave such a generous gift. I remember thinking, wow, this guy just gets it. It was so obvious how much he loved you and your kids. He just knew he was a lucky man and I remember him saying those exact words once. I will send you all the love and strength I have. Know I?m thinking of you all and sending love to my Ultraman brother.

Back in the early days of Super League Triathlon, Michael (or as everyone called him, MB), was a big part of all of the epic events we ran around the world. He cared immensely for their success, but above all, cared even more for the people behind the scenes that made it happen. In times of high stress and pressure, MB was always just around the corner with a huge smile and a hilarious remark to whatever challenges we were facing. In times of fun and laughter, especially after events, MB was there all the same, with a huge smile and his trademark laugh that filled the room wherever we were, however tired we were. Above all, something I'll never forget is the week where most of us were retrenched from Super League due to COVID. I was particularly disappointed and hurt by the news, and MB was the first person to reach out to check in on me. Back then, I was based in Singapore, and he was in Canada - Geographically miles away, but it felt like he was right beside me that day, reminiscing the good times and talking about the bright days ahead. Whenever we crossed paths at events, we sang lines of a song to keep ourselves sane, and it was always the same song - "Your Song" by Elton John. How wonderful our lives were in MB's presence, with all the amazing, warm vibes that came along with it. May his soul rest in peace. Sincerest Condolences, Nick

I am so sorry and shocked to hear of Michael?s passing. Michael was a larger than life person who made his mark in many areas. I met him through the Great White North and followed his advances in race directing. He will be missed for taking on his big challenges with a can do attitude. He has touched many lives. My prayers are with you.

We are so sorry to hear about this devastating loss of Michael! He will be terribly missed by you, MacKinley and Jonah, as well as so many other family and friends. Your lives have been shattered and I?m sure it seems like all around you life goes on? There really are no words to tell you how we feel about Michael?s passing, but know that we are thinking and praying for you all.
