It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, wife, Grandma, Great Grandma and friend. Brenda passed away suddenly on October 5,2021 with her three daughters by her side.

She has left to mourn her husband of 59 years, Dave Scott; her children, Kimberly, Robyn (Dave Lemieux), Kelly (Louie Borges) and David (Leanne Scott); her sweet, loyal best friend, Buddy. Her Grandchildren, Kaitlin Scott, Brittni McIvor, Owen Lemieux, Devyn Dukovac, Brayden Lemieux, Jon Allan Scott, Chelsea Scott, Vanessa Borges, Ashlie Borges, Kaelee Scott, Seth Scott, Liberty Scott and Hannah Scott; Great Grandchildren, Cullen Scott, Zaithan Scott, Cooper McIvor, Jasper Dukovac and Saedee Scott; siblings, Maureen (Ritchie) Jacquot and Elaine Walker. She also left many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Brenda was predeceased by her son, Kevin Scott and her brother, John Clouthier.

Brenda spent many years serving her community, she began volunteering with Birth Right in the 70's.This experience was one of the reasons she decided to dedicate her professional life to social welfare. She went to school while working a full-time job and managing a home with 5 kids. Brenda worked with elderly, unhoused folks at Operation Friendship; she found a lovely home for one of her clients and he became a regular at our family functions.

She moved onto Catholic Social Services working with children in a group home setting. Again, she welcomed her kids over to spend time with our family. Finally, she worked for the Government of Alberta until she retired.

She touched countless lives with her kindness both clients and coworkers. Brenda fiercely loved her family and friends. She also loved animals; once inviting in a stray cat from under her deck, she kept that lucky guy until he passed. She loved music; when we were kids and we were driving her crazy, our secret weapon was Barbara Streisand. We would turn on Barbara and all her frustration would melt away. She eventually caught on to our secret.

Brenda will return to her hometown of Pembroke, Ontario to rest with her parents.

In lieu of flowers. Brenda would have loved donations to any animal shelter be made in her name.
