David James Walsh, known affectionately as Dave to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024, at the age of 95 in Edmonton. David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years, Isabelle; his children: Kathy, Maureen (Calvin), Jim (Kathleen); 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents: James and Evangeline; and sister, Barbara.

Born on December 24, 1928, Dave's life was one marked by joy, dedication, and a deep love for his church and community. Throughout his years, Dave pursued a successful career and earned a Business Diploma in Finances. This accomplishment laid the foundation for a career marked by integrity and a strong work ethic.

An avid sports enthusiast, he spent many sunny days on the golf course and participating in curling, football, and baseball. Dave's interests extended beyond the realm of sports. He had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.

Dave's love for music and fellowship shone through in his involvement with a senior’s choir and church. His presence was a source of warmth and light that drew people together, creating a sense of community and belonging.

Beyond his hobbies and interests, Dave was a man of faith, deeply involved in his church community. He lived his beliefs through his actions, always ready to lend a hand or offer a kind word. His generosity of spirit and his unwavering support for those around him earned him the love and respect of many.

Dave's legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. He will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him to embrace life with the same passion and enthusiasm he did every day.

In keeping with David’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at 2:00 pm in Grace Family Church, 60 Liberton Dr, St. Albert, AB.
