Joanne Velthuis-Kroeze

(Maiden: De Boer)

Joanne was born in Groningen, Holland in 1943 and immigrated to Canada in 1951. She was welcomed into heaven while at St. Michael's Extended Care in Edmonton, Alberta on November 4, 2024.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Harm Velthuis-Kroeze; her children, Bev Mackie (Cam Mackie), Margaret Kotchey, Stuart Velthuis-Kroeze, Donna Kada, and Dennis Velthuis-Kroeze; and her grandchildren, Kayla Velthuis-Kroeze, Brett Velthuis-Kroeze and Adam Kotchey.

She is predeceased by her brothers, Bill De Boer and Dick De Boer; her brother-in-laws, Jack de Groot and Bob Korthius; her niece, Cathy; and her grandson, Zachary Kotchey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 9, 2024, at Trinity Christian Reformed Church at 2:00 p.m. All are invited for fellowship after the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rehoboth Christian Ministries.
