Condolences

Dear Jerry, Brian and Family, Extended Family, and Friends of Johanna, Tom and I (Kandy) are members of Braeside Presbyterian Church in St. Albert. I was privileged to be Jerry and Johanna's ruling elder. We feel blessed to have known Jerry and Johanna through church, coffee time at church, and through telephone calls with both Jerry and Johanna. They were an adorable couple! Once in a while, we meet someone who changes our life - someone who helps us see the world differently, someone we'll always remember. We marvel at the memory of the beautiful Christian woman Johanna was to our congregation and to us personally. No matter what difficulty Johanna was going through or how ill she was, she would express herself eloquently and yet after expressing her true feelings, she would always turn her thoughts and feelings into a positive way of thinking! She was remarkable. We'll never forget her! I personally hope to emulate Johanna by the way I look at life! We're thinking about you in your loss, and wanting you to know how much Johanna meant to us! I will cherish the last memory I have of being with Johanna. I was sitting on a chair close to her bed holding her hand and whispering aloud a prayer in her ear that God would not allow her to suffer anymore. I told her what she meant to Tom and I and how much we would miss her. I thanked her for the beautiful Christian woman she was to all who knew her and loved her. I thanked her for sharing about her life and family with us. We feel as though we know some of you personally! She was so PROUD of you! We pray that God will hold you close, and gently ease your sorrow, heal your heart, and strengthen you for every new tomorrow. In His love, Tom and Kandy
