My sister, Maureen Shelton(Shonn) called this morning to tell me of Walter's passing. We shared happy stories of the past, growing up as a neighbour of Walter's, across from Norwood School. Our paths crossed a few times as adults (I was a member of the UofA Senate and Board of Governors) and at Rona discussing the joy of home renovations in retirement. Our memories of Walter's sense of humour and kind nature will always endure.
