Madeleine Reynolds

Condolences

Madeleine was a great friend of the MacLean Family of Entwhistle. When I was a teenager she would drop over once in a while and it would never take long before my Dad, Don, was laughing with her about something. My Dad and Mum always considered Madeleine and Tom as good friends. There was no visit to Edmonton by any of my Aunts Christine, Margaret and Florence that did not include a good visit with Madeleine. Margaret, Flo and Madeleine had worked and lived together as young women up at Waterways, Alberta. On the occasion of Madeleine's 80th birthday, her family arranged a lovely tea at the MacDonald Hotel. Aunty Flo came up from Calgary and we went to the tea. Madeleine was happy to see her, and eventually they got reminiscing about their adventures in Waterways 60 years ago. It was a pleasure to see these 2 proper ladies, heads together laughing and talking of good times in younger days. Of course time slips away, but the good friends are always with us.
