Obituary

Peacefully in the evening of May 23rd, 2015 our father passed away at his residence in Jubilee Lodge, Edmonton. He will be greatly missed by his children and their spouses: Allan (Marilyn), Glen (Diana), Karen (Barry), and Carol (Mike); grandchildren: Jodie, Todd, Paul, Lindsay, Stephanie and Tara; and great grandchildren: Annika, Max, Sebastian, Elsa, Louise, Bennett and Rhett.

Born in Nokomis, Saskatchewan to parents Oscar Anderson and Ingred Tveten, he grew up on the family farm near La Glace, Alberta with brothers Lorne and Vernon and surviving sister, Doris (Mrs. Johnny Frank). Dad was predeceased by our mother, Charlotte Marie Bickell whom he met on a home visit to Grande Prairie while studying Engineering at the University of Alberta. In 1945 Red graduated with a BSc. in Mining Engineering. He was also predeceased by our sister, Wendy, in 2008 and by his second wife, Margaret (Peggy) Wudel in 2012.

In 1945 after his graduation with a BSc in Mining Engineering, Red and Charlotte made their first home in Yellowknife where all five children were born. In 1957 the family moved to Drayton Valley, followed by another move to Pigeon Lake. Finally Edmonton and then St Albert became home. Dad was happiest in the outdoors: on maneuvers with the Canadian Rangers, as a volunteer Scout Leader, prospecting/exploring, camping, fishing, hunting, golfing, travelling and bird watching. A family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

In Loving Memory of
Clarence Anderson
