Obituary
A "force" has left the world. Ella Nelsine Nicholl, daughter of Danish immigrants, William and Anna Petersen died on June 23, 2015, at the age of 95 years.
Predeceased by children David and Judith, and husband Don, she carried on with verve and energy.
She is survived by daughter Linda (Bob) Ascah; granddaughters, Cathy Risdon (Lori Edey), Beth de Vries (Terry), Rachel Ascah and great granddaughter Brynn deVries.
Ella was proud of her successful management of 28 moves. In each new home, she connected with new friends and kept those connections alive throughout her lifetime. She also directed her energy towards animals, the game of bridge and various causes.
Never prone to backing down, she could have been a CEO if born at a later time. Thanks to the staff of Holyrood Extendicare, (where she had the nickname "the Boss") who were terrific at providing the care she needed with good humor and affection. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date. Donations in Ella�s memory may be directed to the Canadian Cancer society or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
