Obituary

With regret Michael�s family announces his passing on August 22. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joan, and his two sons, Calvin, of San Francisco, and Darren, of Sherwood Park. He is also survived by one half-brother, Stewart Langdon (June) of Kamloops, BC, and was predeceased by his father, John, his mother, Ella, and his half-brother, Allan Langdon. He was also predeceased by sisters-in-law Faye and Nelda Langdon.

He is also survived by four sisters�-in-law, Marilyn of Edmonton, Joyce of Grande Prairie, Sharon (John) of Trochu, and Debra (Trevor) of High Prairie. His father-in-law, Charles Wales of Grande Prairie also survives him.

Michael served as a teacher, principal, and associate superintendent during a 35 year career with Edmonton Public Schools, and contributed to setting up Old Scona Academic High School and the International Baccalaureate Programs in the District. Following retirement, he spent many happy hours devoted to landscaping, gardening, house renovation, and world travel with Joan.

Cremation has taken place and interment will be in his home town of Grande Prairie. A private memorial service for family members and close friends will occur on September 4.
