Obituary
On December 14th, 2015 Liz Rackel passed away peacefully after a brief illness.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Jamie Livingstone), George and Laurel; grandchildren, Jason (Allison), Blaine (Laura), Victoria (Josh Grant) and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Wyatt, Sydney, Kain, Bennet, Isabelle, Evan and Baby Grace; sister, Jo Gall, brothers, John (Jean) Boychuk and Martin (Louise) Boychuk; loving sister-in-law, Lynne (Don) Connell; special friends, Chuck and Lori; and extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill, son Clyde (Joan) and her sister Barbara Melnyk.
Liz was a kind and generous person who was devoted to her family and enjoyed many close friendships. For many years she ran the family owned property management business, REW Management and was an astute business woman. She hosted an open house for the past 58 Christmas Eves, and had enjoyed playing bridge, winters in Phoenix, golfing, and time with her family. The family would like to acknowledge the care and kindness of the staff at the Norwood Palliative Care Unit.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ottewell United Church, 6611 � 93A Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.
In lieu of tributes donations may be made to the Ottewell United Church or the Bissell Centre, 10527 � 96 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5H 2H6.
