Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce that our beloved husband, Dad, and Opa passed away Thursday evening following a lengthy illness.
Fred will be lovingly remembered by Eileen, his wife of 58 years; son Darrel and wife Carol (Alanna and Ryan) of Calgary; son Robert and wife Brenda (Michaela, and Nicole [Todd]) of Red Deer; daughter Anita and husband Mitchell (Daniel and Grace) of Calgary; sister Gisela; sister-in-law Roselotte; nephews Ulrich of Germany and Norman of Tofield; as well as other relatives and friends.
Fred had a passion for building, not just in his construction business (Permyd Builders) but also in his relationships with people. He was a stalwart supporter of his children and grandchildren; a mentor to colleagues; and a faithful friend. The people and projects of St. A's always had a special place in Dads heart.
We marvelled at his creativity. Fred will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Freds life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at St. Augustines Anglican Church, 6110 Fulton Road, Edmonton.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staff at CapitalCare Norwood Hospice for their compassion and care.
