Obituary
On June 22 Gertrude Deane passed away at the age of 107.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lois Etherington; grandsons: Brian Deane (Jackie), Murray Etherington (Dianne), Carl Deane (Margaret); granddaughters: Leslie Hayden, Kerry Deane-Cloutier (Dennis); as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; son, Gordon; and grandson, Alan.
Gertrude's genuine interest in people, innate curiosity of the world, passion for knowledge, quiet dignity without airs and compassion for all living things were qualities that made her special to anyone fortunate enough to have known her. She was a woman ahead of her time in so many regards.
At her request there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gertrude's name to a charity of your choice.
