Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bryce Mitchell.

Survived and dearly missed by his wife, Margaret of 47 years; daughters, Stacey Mitchell and Tonie Perensky; son, Todd (Brenda); grandchildren Madeleine and Alexandra; brother, Kent (Sharon); sister, Thora; numerous family and friends.

Bryce was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Pauline Mitchell; sister, Gail and brother-in-law, Jerry.

For many years Bryce was the co-owner and manager of the Pan American Motel in Edmonton. He subsequently owned the Best Western Hotel in Invermere, B.C.

Bryce was an active member of the Alberta Motel Association, the Masonic Order of Edmonton, the Honolulu Scottish Rite, the Aloha Shriners and the Aloha Court #1 Royal Order of the Jesters.

Bryce, known for this generosity, kindness, unparalleled humility will be missed by many friends in Edmonton and Hawaii who enjoyed his love of laughter, wonderful stories and keen sense of humour.

The family would like to thank Dr. Clark and the compassionate and caring staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Edmonton General Hospital Unit 9Y where donations may be made.

A Celebration of Life for Bryce will be held at a later date.
