Tim will be dearly missed by his friends and coffee partners from Sturgeon Valley Athletic Club, his Retirees of Suncor, St Albert Chapter and his close friends /neighbors at their condo building. He will be lovingly remembered for his kindness and love by the Mandeno family.

Tim was born on March 6, 1933 in Owen Sound, Ontario to James and Elsie Rutherford. Tim grew up there and was an accomplished hockey player with the Owen Sound Greys. Tim met the love of his life Violet Mandeno at a dance and married her in 1958 in Owen Sound and was immediately welcomed in and loved by her large family. Tim and Violet welcomed 3 boys, Scott, Tom and Steve and their weekends were kept busy visiting family and Tim coaching the boys hockey teams. Tim was a dedicated husband and father who loved to spend time with Violet and their boys. Much of their time was spent snowmobiling in the winter and Tim volunteering his time as President of the Southampton Snowmobile Club. Many hours and weekends were also spent as a volunteer firefighter. Tims career began when he was working as a sailor on the Great Lake freighters in Ontario and the East Coast. He then continued on working at Shell Oil in Sarnia, Ontario until the family purchased the Manor Motel in Southampton, Ontario. Many memories and wonderful years were spent at the motel meeting a lot of great people who become their lifelong friends. The family relocated to Fort McMurray in 1982 where Tim worked at Suncor as a shift supervisor in upgrading operations until his retirement in 1994. They settled into their retirement life in St Albert in 1994. Tim enjoyed working out, taking long walks with Violet and camping. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, visiting and watching them play their sports. Tim loved the Edmonton Oilers and his Tim Hortons Coffee. He will be remembered for his compassion and caring attitude to those around him.

In Loving Memory of
James Rutherford
