Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family of Hugh Montgomery announces his passing. He will be lovingly remembered by Eleanor, his wife of 67 years; children: Julie (Jim), Dale (Eli), Laurie (Mitch), and Glenn (Margit); granddaughter, Lisa (Taylor); and nephew, Alec (Cassie).

Hugh was born and raised in Edmonton. He served in The Royal Canadian Navy during WWII, then attended U of A where he received his B. Ed. leading to a career as a teacher and then principal with the Edmonton Public School Board. Upon retirement he enjoyed yard work, volunteering, travel, and social activities.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew�s United Church, 9915-148 St., on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hugh�s name to the charity of your choice.
