Obituary
Kay Read, formerly of Leduc, passed away peacefully at her home in Edmonton on October 12, 2021. She was 99.
Left behind to remember her fondly are her son Brian in Victoria, her daughter Carmen (Wilf) Hengeveld in Edmonton, her son Hugh (Barbara) in Edmonton, her son Jim (Tami) in Calgary, her sister Caroline Knapik in Bow Island, and her brother Jerry (Kay) Hager in Medicine Hat, as well as her grandchildren Greg, Justin, Leah, Jackson, Harlan, and Haley and many nieces and nephews.
Kay was predeceased by her husband Fred, her brother Pete, and her brother Nick.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Lifestyle Options Whitemud for their loving care of Kay over the last several years.
In lieu of flowers, Kay suggested that anyone wishing to mark her passing do so with a donation to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
