Obituary
The family is saddened to announce the passing of Laverne on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the age of 87 years. She will be forever loved and remembered by 8 children: Donald, Angela, Conny, Bruce, Levina, Michele, Dirk (Jennifer), Stephen (Jessica); 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.
Laverne was predeceased by her husband, Dirk; son, Sidney; daughter, Marion; great-granddaughter, Leah Marie; two sisters, Ada and Dina, and one brother, Jack.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Foster & McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 114 Street NW Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laverne’s memory to the Canadian Bible Society, 10 Carnforth Road, Toronto, Ontario, M4A 2S4.
