Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, Oma, great Oma and sister, from Alzheimer’s disease.

Mom will be loving remembered by John (Gigi), Della (Blaine) Schick, Glen, and Leona Airth, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survived by brother Andy Jonker, sisters Nettie Davies and Ditte (Almer) Bandura, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years Martin (2013), her parents Gerrit & Dieuwertje Jonker, sisters Annabeth Kievit and Willy Kapeluch, son-in-law Ray Airth.

Mom enjoyed cooking, baking, a variety of crafts, dancing, gardening, and aquasize. She was a seamstress, artist, and yoga instructor. But her greatest joy was her family.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at McConnell Place North, Dr. Parrish and her companion, Connie, for their compassion and care over the past 6 years. It gave us great comfort to know that Mom truly felt safe and at home. Her bright beautiful smile told the story.

Please consider donating to CapitalCare McConnell Place North. www.capitalcarefoundation.net/McConnell Place North.

Cremation has taken place. Mom’s wishes are for a graveside service which will be held in spring 2023.

In Loving Memory of
Elizabeth de Beurs
(Maiden: Jonker)
