Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Laurie Glenn Doughty announces his peaceful passing on February 27, 2023.
Laurie will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother Daryl (Wendy), daughter Jade, son Duell, grandchildren Ava and Samuel and numerous relatives and friends.
Laurie was predeceased by his mother Lydia and father Bruce.
Laurie was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta. He attended schooling in Edmonton. Upon his graduation, Laurie began working in Edmonton and spent a short time working in Calgary. He went back to school and completed a Computer program with a local computer training center. He continued working with a variety of employers.
Laurie loved music, sports and to party with friends and family. His interest in sports was amazing and rivaled some of the current TV sports analysts. His knowledge and memory of drafts picks, players, stats and hi-light plays was truly amazing. Laurie was also a bit of a computer tech wizard.
Laurie was always up on the news events and enjoyed deep discussions regarding these events.
Laurie will always be remembered as a loving, caring, happy-go-lucky father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
