Obituary
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Argiro Sylvia Careclakis at the age of 83 years on April 3rd, 2023.
Born in Greece, she immigrated to Canada where she settled in Calgary, Alberta. She later moved to Edmonton, where she met her husband of 59 years and raised a family together.
She is predeceased by her husband, Panayiotis; daughter, Spyridoula; parents, Markos and Maria; sisters, Katina and Eleni. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Maria (Ammar), Evan; sister, Efstathia; grandchildren, Adam and Nadia; great-granddaughter, Madalynn; nephew John; and nieces: Eleftheria, Stamatina, and Maria.
The family would like to thank all the nursing staff on 7 East of the Misericordia Hospital for the exceptional and loving care she received, as well as all the staff at McConachie Gardens Retirement Community for all their support.
