Obituary
Ron McNeill passed away at his home on July 2, 2011, at the age of 82 years. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Ron immigrated to Canada in 1954 where he took up residence in Edmonton, Alberta. Ron started his career as a bus driver for the City of Edmonton then transferred to the Edmonton Fire Department where he retired as Captain in 1987. Ron was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Lee He is survived by his daughter, Donna Dixon (Darwin Knopp); sons, Dave (Jan) and Ron MacDonald; five grandchildren, Jarrod (Liz), Chad (Briana), Lee, Christine and Charlene as well as his cats, Muffley and Chesey. A Celebration of Ron�s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2011 at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Chapel, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton, AB. In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ron can be made to the Edmonton Humane Society, 13620-163 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5V 0B2.
