Obituary
It is with great sorrow that the Dykstra family announces the passing of Theo Dykstra, who passed away at the Youville Home on August 29, 2011, after living with Parkinson�s for many years. A greatly loved husband, father, opa, and great-opa, Theo was born in Nieuwleusen, Holland, in 1933. Theo would like everyone to know how much love and pride he had for his family, and especially Truus, the love of his life and the apple of his eye, who lovingly, tirelessly, and patiently took care of Theo throughout his struggles with Parkinson�s. Theo is survived by Truus, his wife of 56 years; children, Paul (Celina), Ina (Jan), Ted (Melanie), and Jack (Marnie); grandchildren, Erin (Caanan), Jennifer (Colby), Emily (Troy), Jillian, Tessa (Chris), Jori, Brenton, Ryan, Braden, Sarah, Theo, and Rosie; great-grandchildren, Alex and Olivia; brothers, Gerard and Cees; and sisters, Louise and Willy. He was predeceased by his father, Taeke; mother, Rinske; and his brother, Paul. The Dykstra family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all the staff at the Youville Home who cared for Theo for the last four years. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theo�s memory may be made to the Parkinson�s Society of Alberta.
