Obituary

On Sunday, January 29, 2012, our beloved father and grandfather was called by the Lord to his eternal home. Bert Ebbers passed away at the age of 87. He is survived by three loving children, Ron (Marlene), Joan and Albert; and four loving grandchildren, Nathan, Luke, Heather, and Erin. He is also survived by his sister Lily Smit, brother John (Janet) Ebbers, sister Jean (Joe) Berger, sister Kathleen (Phil) Hesselink; and sister-in-law Julia Ebbers, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bert was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Yni; sister Ann Visser, brother Jackie Ebbers, brother George Ebbers; brother-in-law George Visser, brother-in-law Sid Smit; and grandson Eric Ebbers. A Visitation will be held from 7:00 � 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 � 114 St., Edmonton. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 16102 Fort Road, Edmonton, followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church, 10956 � 96 St., Edmonton with Pastor Mike Van Boom officiating. In memory of Bert, donations may be made to Emmanuel Home Building Fund, 13425 � 57 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5A 2G1.
