Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Stuart on June 13, 2012. Stuart was born on July 9, 1947 and raised in Edmonton. Stuart was very active in the skiing and snowboarding community at Edmonton Ski Club and Snow Valley Ski Club, as well the running and deaf communities in Edmonton. Stuart had many, many friends throughout the world and loved to stay in contact with everyone through letters and postcards. He worked at Lilydale for over 42 years and was a very dedicated, hard working employee. Stuart was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Jewel Winkler; and his brother, Bruce. Stuart is survived by his brother, Colin; sisters, Janice and Margot; his aunt Maxine; and his nephews, nieces, and great nephews. A Memorial Service for Stuart will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 � 114 Street, Edmonton. At Stuart�s request, a Memorial Service at Snow Valley Ski Club will be held at a later date, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stuart�s name to the Alberta Diabetes or Alberta Deaf Associations.
