Obituary
On September 6, 2012 Rainier was called home to be with the Lord after 17 years with cancer.
Rainier will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years; Karen Van Delft (nee Jansen); his mother, Annie & Hans Buma; children and grandchildren, Ian & Inge Van Delft (Lisa & Emma), Aron & Susan Van Delft (Seth, Pierce & Alex), Colleen & Jeff Van Raalte (Jadon, Cody and Tessa); his sister and brothers, Corrie & Allan Faber, Will & Brenda Van Delft, George & Nancy Van Delft, Henry & Corinne Van Delft, Tony & Karen Van Delft, Adrian & Sheila Van Delft, Colin & Alice Van Delft; sister and brothers-in-law Diana & Walter Noot, Gary Jansen; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Sturgeon Hospital Units 27 and 18, the Edmonton General Palliative Care Unit, the doctors and staff at the Cross Cancer Institute and our family physician Dr. D.K. Zalasky.
A Funeral Service will be held at Providence Canadian Reformed Church, 12905 � 122 Avenue, Edmonton, AB on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Northern Lights Cemetery, 15203 Campbell Road, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers we ask that a donation be made to the Mannafields Christian School, 170 Easter Road, Edinburgh, EH7 5QE, UK, a non-funded christian school that Rainier�s granddaughters attend. This cause was near to Rainier�s heart. Visit www.mannafields.org.uk for more info on how to donate.
