Obituary

Will died on November, 27 at the Edmonton General Covenant Care Centre after receiving compassionate care there for many months.

He was a wonderful husband to his wife, Barbara, for more than 64 years, and a great dad for his children, Marvi, Jeffrey, Larry and Alan, and his eight grandchildren. His brother, Ivan was killed in WW II, his mother,, Margaret, died at an early age, and his father also Willard Francis Reese, died in 1956.

He gradualted from the US Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, and he served as a ship's officer in WWII and later. His education degrees came from Whitewater (Wisconsin) State College, the University of Colorado, and the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. He retired from his position as Professor of Science Education at the UofA in 1990. He is held in great respect by his many students. He spent two years teaching at the University of Dacca in Bangladesh, and had two sabbaticals in England. He was a poet and children's author, and in his retirement he spent much time story-telling in schools and libraries.

A celebration of Will's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1 at St. Paul's United Church, 11526 - 76 Avenue.
