Obituary
Dr. Peter B.R. Allen passed away peacefully on April 4, 2013.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 55 years, Barbara; four children, Susan (Ron ) Reis, David (Wiz) Allen, Murray (Jackie) Allen and Judy (Scott) Sherman ; 13 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Peter was an accomplished and respected neurosurgeon who genuinely cared about his patients�their stories, their families, and their fears. Over the course of his career he served his profession through numerous leadership roles within the medical community as well as mentoring and training many young neurosurgeons. A modest and always unassuming gentlemen, Peter earned the devotion of his patients. He was happiest when in the presence of family, nature, and the mountains. Peter, forever tolerant and accepting, was a trusted loyal friend, and role model to all who knew and loved him. Peter/Dad/Grampa was a mountain of a man who we all miss ever-so-much. The family extends sincere gratitude to the healthcare professionals and community of friends who supported them on this journey. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 10025 � 105 Street, Edmonton.
