Obituary
On March 15, 2014, Hazel Jean Stevenson of Edmonton passed away battling cancer.
Hazel was born and raised near Ardath, Saskatchewan. She is survived by one son, Murray of Calgary; one sister, Faye of Chatham, ON; and is predeceased by her husband, Sam. Hazel was a long time sports enthusiast, excelling in softball, curling and golf. She won a Canadian Softball Championship, competed at a National Curling Championship and a Provincial Golf Championship. Besides playing softball, curling and golf, she enjoyed watching those sports, as well as hockey and Canadian football � her favourite team was the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Hazel also took great pride in maintaining her house and yard which she did by herself until very recently.
No Funeral or Memorial Service will be held, at the request of Hazel. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 710-10123 99 Street NW, Edmonton AB T5J 3H1.
