Obituary
 
Kay passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2016 with her children by her side.

Kay was born in Montreal in 1922. She moved to Yellowknife NWT in 1945 with her husband, Chuck. While working as a broadcaster with CBC, Kay travelled extensively and learned to love the northern landscape and the people.

In 1973, Kay moved to Edmonton where she was a senior Northwest Territories government representative.

Kay was a patron of the arts and a philanthropist. She inspired friends and family with her vast knowledge of food, fashion, art, politics and community. Her dinner table was always set for lively conversation.

She was predeceased by her husband, Chuck, and her sisters; Mary and Elizabeth. She is survived by Michael (Kathi), Yellowknife; Mary Lou Ambrose, Delta BC; Greg (Tammy), Dallas TX; grandchildren Robin, Jill, Ian, Brooke and Bryn; great grandchildren Paige and Quinn; nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Foster & McGarvey Funeral Home (10011-114 Street, Edmonton) at 2:00 P.M on Friday October 14, 2016.
