Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Ogilvie of Edmonton on September 11, 2020.

Margaret leaves to mourn her loss, sons, Don (Shannon), Ken (Shelley), Glenn (Cheryl), Todd (Kristi); nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Cathy and Minda; as well as many, many, friends.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Richard; siblings, Don, Jack, Ella, Frank, David and Stu.

Margaret and Richard raised their family in Edmonton. Margaret was the consummate hostess, an accomplished cook and enjoyed entertaining her family and friends.

Margaret obtained her degree in Home Economics while raising her four boys and subsequently spent several years working in Graduate Studies at the University of Alberta where she made lifelong friendships.

Margaret enjoyed golf, crafts, and was proud of her involvement with her Sorority, The Gyrettes, The Red Hatters and her years at the Strathcona Farmers Market.

Margaret had a feisty nature, impacted everyone she met and was unafraid to wear white after Labor Day.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 5241 Calgary Trail NW #144, Edmonton, AB, T6H 5G8.

At Moms request there will be no service.

Our heartfelt thanks to the outstanding staff at the Citadel Care Center in St. Albert.
