Carol, 83, a very caring and compassionate person died peacefully on March 21, 2021 in Edmonton.

She is survived by loving husband, David (Edmonton); one sister, Shelagh (Fergus, ON) ; ; brother-in-law, Jim (Vicki); sister-in-law, Barbara (Ken); 9 nephews; 3 nieces and their families, plus relations in both Scotland and Australia.

Born in Lethbridge in 1938, Carol pursued a nursing career. She enrolled in the University of Alberta School of Nursing and graduated as an RN. She was active in nursing alumni affairs and multiple Class of ’59 reunions.

Carol volunteered as a cast nurse for over 5 years with Up With People, a travelling youth educational organization, where she travelled to Japan, Belgium, Mexico, and parts of the U.S. among other places. She also nursed at Fergus General Hospital, the Holy Cross in Calgary, where she and David met and married, as well as the Royal Alex and Downtown Medicentre (both in Edmonton). Carol and David had a wonderful life together. Carol made lasting friendships wherever she went. Due to COVID19, a private service will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place in the future.
